Genevieve Hegney is a dynamic on-screen personality, accomplished host, and celebrated performer, known for her wit, warmth, and versatility across television, live events, and stage.
Most recently Genevieve hosted the Taylor Swift Let’s Dance event in Sydney. In 2023, she co-hosted the Casting Guild of Australia (CGA) Awards alongside Julia Zemiro, and has also appeared as a featured presenter at Screen Producers Australia (SPA), presenting alongside Nicholas Brown. Her natural comedic timing, industry credibility, and strong audience rapport make her a standout choice for hosting, panels, red carpets, and brand partnerships.
Best known for her role as Chiara in the internationally acclaimed, award winning comedy Colin From Accounts, Genevieve received an AACTA Award nomination for Best Acting in a Comedy and winning 2 x Equity Ensemble Awards for Outstanding Performance. Other significant credits have included All Her Fault (NBCU/Matchbox) opposite Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning, and Pieces of Her with Toni Collette.
Her stage presence extends beyond acting — Genevieve is also a successful writer-performer. She co created and starred in Unqualified and Still Unqualified for Ensemble Theatre, and Fly Girl, which she also co-wrote, which will be staged later in 2025.
With a background that combines classical training (NIDA, BA from the University of Western Australia) and comedic flair, Genevieve brings professionalism, polish, and relatability to every appearance — whether she's fronting a major awards night, contributing to entertainment panels, or engaging with fans in live and digital formats.
